A Nashville email marketing agency that actually ships

Most email programs don't stall for lack of ideas. They stall waiting on a designer, waiting on copy, waiting on one more round of approvals. We built software that closes that gap: you request a campaign in Asana, give feedback in Slack, and the edits apply themselves.

/ THE PROBLEM

The bottleneck was never the strategy

Ask a team what's holding their email back and you'll hear about a queue, not a shortage of ideas. The onboarding sequence agreed on in March is still half-built. Copy comes back, someone has notes, the notes live in an email thread, and the version that ships isn't quite the version that got approved.

And the sends that do go out are generic, because the detail that would make them relevant, what the customer did, where they are in onboarding, whether they've booked, sits in a system your email platform has never heard of.

Two different problems. We built software for each. The full breakdown

/ SERVICES

The whole program, not just the sends

001

Strategy

Which sequences to build, triggered by what, in what order. Approvals and planning that fit how your team already operates.

002

Copy and templates

We write it and build it. On-brand, mobile-first, built for deliverability.

003

Campaigns

Onboarding, notifications, follow-ups, re-engagement, transactional. Announcements, promotions, newsletters, and batch campaigns.

004

Database hygiene

Duplicates, decayed contacts, and broken field mapping quietly wreck both deliverability and segmentation.

/ HOW IT WORKS

Software does the production. People do the thinking.

Captive Lifecycle builds the emails

Connects to whichever platform you already use, HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, Mailchimp, and the other major providers, designs templates from your brand, and assembles them with copy you've approved. No migration, no rebuild. And approvals run through the tools you already use: request a campaign in Asana or Monday, give feedback in a Slack channel, and the edits apply to the build automatically.

Conduit gets the data

Pulls from where your data actually lives and pushes it into your marketing platform on a schedule you set, so campaigns trigger on what someone did rather than which list they're on. Because we built it, the connector list isn't a limit. If your data sits in an internal database or a booking system, we build that integration.

How Captive Lifecycle and Conduit work
/ LOCAL

Email doesn't care where you are. We're here anyway.

We'll be honest: email marketing is the least location-dependent thing we do. Nothing about writing a good onboarding sequence requires being in the same city, and an agency claiming otherwise is selling you proximity as a feature.

What being local actually changes is the working relationship. Kickoffs where the whole team is in one room instead of one more video call. A planning session you can walk to. A strategist in your time zone who answers during your working hours rather than at the end of them.

And for Nashville businesses whose customers are also local, venues, hospitality, healthcare, professional services, it means we already understand the seasonality. Which months move, how tourist patterns hit your booking cycle, and when a send will land badly because half the city is at something else.

The person building your lifecycle strategy is the person on your recurring calls, as often as weekly, at whatever cadence matches how much you're shipping, and you can reach them directly in between, in a shared Slack channel. For Nashville clients, that person can be in your office when it matters.

/ REPORTING

Monthly reportingyou don't have to ask forwith Northstar Analytics

Every client gets Northstar Analytics, our own BI platform, reporting delivered automatically each month. Because it's a real BI tool rather than an ESP dashboard, it pulls in your CRM and revenue data too, so you see what email produced in pipeline, not just opens and clicks.

/ PRICING & ADD-ONS

Starts at $2,500/month. Priced to what you're actually building.

Lifecycle marketing starts at $2,500/month, priced project to project. It scales with how much you're building: the number of new emails, sequences, and templates in a given month, rather than with the size of your list.

That distinction matters. List-size pricing charges you more for contacts you already had, which has nothing to do with the work involved. We'd rather price the work.

Ours starts at $2,500/month, priced project to project and scaling with how many new emails, sequences, and templates you're building. We don't price by list size.
/ NEXT STEP

Don't talk to a sales rep. Talk to a founder.

Send us your account and we'll audit the program: what's sending, what's landing, what's leaking revenue, and what we'd build first. A senior operator does the review. Nashville clients, we'll buy the coffee.
